Can a Hardgainer Get Huge Naturally?

The short answer is yes, of course! Any hardgainer can get huge if they follow a proper training and nutritional program.

How big? Well, that is going to vary. For some it can be very big, but anyone and everyone can achieve results that will surprise them.

Size is not all there is to defining a nice build, but if your problem is that you can’t normally gain weight, it is still possible for you to become relatively huge.

For examples you can look no farther than hardgainers who have been able to excel in natural bodybuilding competition. They may not get huge like drug fueled bodybuilders, but in my opinion that is not a bad thing.  A natural bodybuilder not only has built a musculature that looks great, but one that is also functional. Most steroid aided bodybuilders, by growing muscles beyond what mother-nature intended, will actually reduce their  general athletic performance.

Most hardgainers who say they want to “get huge” really aren’t picturing the drug pumped superstar bodybuilder who looks like he just stepped out of a comic book. Have you noticed that people tend to say they are “working out” or “doing weight training” just to distance themselves from the stereotypical bodybuilding image?They say that even though they are legitimately striving to shape up and even “get huge” in their own way.

Everyone has an ideal weight range beyond which an increase in muscle size would be counterproductive, both aesthetically and even in terms of athletic performance.  That weight range will vary based on an individual’s preferences and goals

Take gymnasts, for example. Through their gymnastic training they develop strong muscular bodies and a tremendous weight to power ratio. A gymnast could build even larger muscles via weight training, but that would just reduce their weight to power ratio and hinder their performance.

Even as a hardgainer you need to set your goals upfront. Is it to achieve maximum strength? Maximum size? Increase muscle size while improving athletic performance? Decide what your goals are and put together a training and nutrition program designed to achieve those results. Then stick to the program. If you’re doing it the right way you’ll start seeing results almost right away.

Hence the idea that it should must take years and years for a hardgainer to get huge naturally.
